1.0. Introduction
It is particularly notorious that it is of critical importance for employers to promote employees’ autonomy and stimulate their morale in operation process. Workers are driven by an interest or enjoyment in the task itself and exists within the individual rather than relying on any external pressure(Bainbridge 1998).Currently the competition in the market is so fierce that urges managers to be aware of the significance of motivating their staffs rather than forcing them to work. The purpose of this essay is to critically analyse the reward strategy on the basis of several actual cases. This essay will firstly introduce the concept of motivation and then deeply discuss some theories about this issue on the basis of several cases furthermore it will define the concept of reward strategy study its history and state some advantages and disadvantages about using the gift token as a reward strategy，finally the concept of HSE and ACAS will be investigated before concluding.
